I have a new concert date. On June 3rd at 9pm we'll be playing two sets in Lucerne, again in Kosmos of the HSLU Musik in Kriens. Maze to Eden actually has ever only played in Kosmos at the HSLU. I'd like that to change soon but finding venues to host such a large group is quiet hard.

The second set of the show will be music that we've performed already and most of it is available to stream and watch on the internet. Some of the second set we perform only live. This set is rock, metal just like you're used to from Maze to Eden.
The first set however is completely new music. I'm working on that music right now. It's supposed to be one big piece of music and I actually think of it as a symphony and not an album. It's got what I'd call five movements. Of course, classicaly trained musicians would be laughing their butts off right now, but that's how I think of it. The piece has got many recurring motives and themes, often showing up in new keys, new tempos, other time signatures, other orchestrations. This piece has an obvious 'soundtrack' vibe. To me soundtrack or film music is probably the most open genre of music there is. You can use rock, metal, classical, techno, all kinds of genres and mixed with each other and one after the other without people reacting to it and saying that's not 'true to the genre', because there simply are no rules.
In my piece there's very soft pasages and very hard passages, electronics and acoustic elements. The form sometimes reminds you of pop songs and sometimes of a movements from romanticism. I hope the piece turns out great, I still have a lot of work ahead of me, but that's the fun part.
I hope to see you at the concert on June 3rd and wish you the best.
Cheers,
Patrick Buzo
